Read inputs to Booklet 223

Booklets have been an integral part of the Exakta Circle since its inception in the 1990s. They are small notebooks that are sent to members to contribute to as they wish about Exakta collecting. Some people explain how they got started collecting Exaktas, others describe their latest acquisitions, and some members use the opportunity to ask questions about a particular aspect of Exakta collecting. Once a member receives the booklet, he is supposed to read earlier entries, add his contribution and pass it on so that another Circle member can read it and contribute - ergo the “Circle” designation.

Most members are good about returning the booklets, but unfortunately some members are busy with their non-Exakta lives and for whatever reason don’t send them back. Both our Booklet Co-ordinators report increasing difficulties in getting booklets returned. It seems that the effort of posting booklets back to the Co-ordinators is too much. So we are now offering this on-line version, which is open to members and non-members alike. Non-members will be invited to join.

Please fill in both forms. Your input can be as long as you like. Use English, French or German. We shall organise translations and post them on the Booklets Received pages (only the more interesting entries will be translated into French or German) and they will eventually appear in Exakta Times. All inputs may be subject to editing.

To send images, please reduce them to 72dpi and not more than 800 by 640 pixels, and attach them to an e-mail to the Editor using this link: Booklet images to Editor. Please put your name in the subject line.
